We have posted several times on the Lionfish problems we are experiencing out at Glover’s Reef. We spearfish for lionfish while snorkeling, we have tried serving fresh lionfish for breakfast, and we even teach eels to eat lionfish!

This article recently ran in the NY Times describing the problems other areas are also having with the invasion of the Lionfish, which continues as an unfolding story. People everywhere in the Caribbean are trying to figure out what can be done to control this invasive species, and although efforts are underway to try to alleviate the problem, the long term outlook does look grim.
