Welcome to belizeadventure.com, the blog of Slickrock Adventures of Moab, Utah.
The creation of this blog is long overdue. There are so many amazing things that I have always wanted to communicate about our Belize travel company: photos of new kayaks and surf boards being delivered to my yard in Moab, hilarious photos guests send us from their trip, hot tips from our staff of other cool places to visit in Central America, more about how to choose the perfect snorkeling fins… all of this I have thought about posting but felt that they didn’t really fit within the format of our regular website. With this new blog I hope to give a more complete view of all that goes into running private island adventure tours in Belize.
First thanks to AK Muckraker, creator of the blog I borrowed a lot from. This fantastic political blog, TheMudflats.net, has a clean, simple design I have long admired. I guess it is laziness on my part to steal much of her style, but we could also call it flattery since imitation is the greatest form of it.
Also thanks to Jide, a web developer who created the Freshy 2 Wordpress customizable theme that this blog uses. The customization I am using here is called “Custom Studio”.
Another thank you to Tom Holub who took the wonderful photo at the top of the blog page. He got married to his sweetheart Nancy on our 12/15/07 Belize Adventure Week trip!
Finally a big thank you to Craig Hibberd of Moab who helped me get the blog up on its own domain… not an easy feat!
